Nimterra Developments

Nimterra Developments Inc. is a boutique real estate development and acquisition firm proudly based in Burnaby, BC. Since 1989, we have passionately searched for promising new opportunities to add value for our partners focusing on wood-framed multi-family and mixed use projects. Steve Da Cruz is currently Vice President at Nimterra Developments and focussed on acqusitions and the creation of value for partners. CEO Norm Rakhra has been in the construction industry from the age of 14. You could say he was raised on a construction site. Norm's family has been building homes in the Greater Vancouver area since the 1980s.

Having been on site for hundreds of projects, Norm has learned the industry from the ground up. The comprehension, forsight, and knowledge required to manage development sites of all sizes is an elite skillset. Having owned and operated an excavation & civil engineering company as well, Norm learned how to run all the machines first-hand. Starting with small jobs to eventually digging and excavating, he was enabled to earn equity in his family projects while also taking on excavation contracts for other clients.

Norm then shifted back to general contracting and bigger construction projects. Thereafter there were a number of projects where he was the developer. Today, he and his team specialize in delivering multifamily homes and mixed-use woodframe projects across the Lower Mainlaind and Vancouver Island.

There simply is no substitute for experience.
